WindowsTM Client Software for
BACnetTM Systems
If you're a developer, building owner or facility manager with multi-vendor
BACnetTM systems, chances are you can't get
all the specialized application programs you need to make your facility work
properly and inter-operate across vendors. If you've looked at other BACnet workstation
software, you know that there's a big difference between them when it comes
to alarm management. If your application requirements include management of alarm and
event notifications from BACnet devices, then you need fast, flexible, high-performance
workstation tools. You need software that works with every kind of BACnet event notification.
You need BDAlarmTM.
The BACdoorTM Alarm Manager (BDAlarm) is a high-performance,
completely configurable, BACnet alarm client. BDAlarm runs under Windows 98, NT4, Me, 2000 or XP,
and provides a robust set of alarm management and response features tailored
to the needs of application designers.
The BDAlarm interface is simple and compact. A "one line" mode allows for summary displays
of alarm information on single lines with key information displayed. Clicking on the column headings
above the alarm list resorts the displayed items according to that column.
One click switches the display to a verbose mode where alarm details are easily viewed. The
multi-line format shows all of the information that can be provided in a BACnet Event Notification.
BDAlarm is extremely flexible and allows you to easily program triggers that respond to
different kinds of alarm and event notifications. This dialog shows some of the many options
available. Triggers can respond to arbitrary combinations of the data presented in event notification
fields, such as the device instance, class, from and to states, alarm type etc. There can be
multiple response actions taken including printing of files containing instructions or documents,
executing other programs, displaying multimedia elements such as specific sounds or video,
as well as text messaging. Since an arbitrary number of triggers may be defined, BDAlarm
is a powerful tool for programming an enormous range of responses to BACnet alarm and event notifications.
