CD-ROMs
QLTA
Carnegie Learning offers a unique and innovative suite of Cognitive Tutors™ for mathematics. To promote the sales of their new Quantitative Literacy Through Algebra product, the company wanted an equally innovative marketing tool. PolarSoft created a hybrid CD that featured an overview of the philosophy of quantitative literacy, a guided tour of the product, samples of the print curriculum and links to the corporate website. The entire navigation, introduction and guided tour was designed and authored with Flash so that the resulting piece could be deployed in CD form on PCs and Macs, as well as from the corporate web site directly.

The BACnetCD
The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) wanted to put the 500-page BACnet standard on CD-ROM. PolarSoft created a CD that included a welcome menu, in-depth BACnet information (authored with Windows Help Files), related ASHRAE literature and product information from BACnet Interoperability Testing Consortium members. PolarSoft has since developed an updated BACnet CD Version 2.0 and 3.0.

BACtalk CD
Alerton Technologies, a developer of building automation systems in Seattle, needed a CD-ROM that offered complete information about the company and BACtalk, its new BACnet-compliant system. PolarSoft developed an information-rich CD that allowed Alerton's customers to review information without leaving their desks. This CD was wildly successful and was reissued multiple times.

Millennium Suite
Michelin North America was about to launch a tire management software system to its commercial tire dealers nationwide. They wanted an effective way to market the product so that the dealers would buy into the product and the process. PolarSoft developed a multimedia presentation based on the life cycle of a fleet tire to demonstrate the benefits of this new software. The presentation, which incorporated narration, video and animation, was delivered via CD-ROM to 800 dealers nationwide.
