YorkYork International was developing a radical new generation of Chiller Control systems that incorporated graphic display panels as part of the built-in control system. They envisioned a series of different types of controllers and an on-going need for interactive graphic displays in a whole series of products.
PolarSoft designed an embedded multi-tasking and graphical operating system for York, and also a complex toolset for designing and maintaining human-interface designs specific to each product. The interface design environment allows York designers to modify and experiment with human-interface designs and then automatically generate the databases that can be embedded in production equipment.
The Trane Company
The Trane Company needed to develop an interactive database and property management program that could also communicate with the company's range of building automation equipment. PolarSoft designed an attractive and full-featured system for property managers, which integrates complex telephone-based building control and energy billing into the same package.
GNC
General Nutrition Centers was preparing to deploy its Worldwide Product Ordering System, an early eCommerce system for international dealers. They needed to be able to visualize how the complex system of import/export rules and the huge product range of GNC could be organized into a framework suitable for web-based deployment. Working with the eCommerce system developer, PolarSoft developed an interactive prototype of this interface as proof of concept.
SCA Technologies
SCA Technologies had developed a cutting edge application for Supply Chain Analysis. SCA asked PolarSoft to help design a modern and approachable human interface for the product. To make the new release attractive and easy to use, PolarSoft developed branding, a logical organization for functions and information, and intuitive navigation all maintaining the look and feel of the company's colors and existing marketing materials.
The resulting clean and simple design helps SCA's customers master the use of these complex and sophisticated tools quickly.
